A unique architectural achievement.
T1 is the first of TWT Property Group’s buildings in the St Leonards precinct. It celebrates the spirit of St Leonards as a bustling and progressive community, with its artful and fluid design sitting naturally in the urban context. Experimenting with a new dynamic sculptural form, its ribbon-like profile encapsulates the visual quality of movement, light and shadow. The building certainly made an impact. T1 was a finalist in the 2014 Sydney Design Awards, an annual snapshot of the sophisticated design culture in the vibrant Sydney marketplace.

A work of art was born.
From conception, TWT Property Group knew they wanted to do things better. a+ design group were engaged to deliver a more imaginative and fresh approach to the building and set it apart from generic blocks elsewhere on the street.
Workshopping ideas, the architectural team played with long ribbons in the office and watched the way the air danced across them, creating dynamic motion. T1’s exterior design drew from this kinetic real-life ribbon play, taking the shape of fine layers of fabric that appear to ‘dress up’ the building.
