TWT SUPPORTING THOSE IN NEED

Lifeline & TWT(from l-r) Stephen Fitzpatrick, General Manager of TWT Property Group with John Brogden AM, Chairman of Lifeline. Political journalist Laurie Oakes and interviewer Mike Munro AM were special guests at the Lifeline fundraising event.

Every 32 seconds, Lifeline Australia receives a call for help. This disturbing statistic was revealed by Stephen Fitzpatrick, General Manager of TWT Property Group, at a fundraising event for the charity which brought together hundreds of businesspeople.

Sponsored by TWT, the event in the Grand Ballroom of The Westin Sydney heard that 65,300 Australians attempt suicide each year.

“It is imperative that Lifeline continues to provide the vitally important support to those in need, and TWT is proud to be one of the donors,” Mr Fitzpatrick said.

Philanthropy is intrinsic to TWT’s corporate culture, and its in-house charity Bridging Hope has donated the equivalent of $A1.2-Million over the past three years in China. Bridging Hope has initially donated $50,000 help fund Lifeline, which operate a 24-hour telephone service in 41 centres throughout Australia.

“Making a contribution to good social change and helping communities grow and prosper is an ethos we build, not just in our developments but also in our charitable work,” said Mr Fitzpatrick. “We want to improve people’s lives, so we are committed to helping communities and support networks through Bridging Hope.”
