TWT Creative Precinct Welcomes our Second International Artist Rose Wong

Artist Rose Wong joined TWT’s Creative Precinct as part of the TWT International Residency Program in February.

As part of this program, artist Rose will stay in Sydney for 2 months.  During her residency, Rose will be conducting public talks at UNSW and Western Sydney University, and also meeting with White Rabbit Gallery and other local commercial gallerists. She’ll be creating and also participating in some of the many events held in the TWT Creative Precinct.

Rose Wong is a practicing visual artist and art educator and former programme Director of Education in Ullen center of contemporary Art. She has an MA of Artist teaching and contemporary art practise from Goldsmiths College, University of London and a Bachelor of Arts (Hon), Comparative Literature and Fine Art, University of Hong Kong.

She was born, and grew up, in Hong Kong but currently is based in Beijing.  Her works are widely exhibited all over the world supported by organisations and funds such as Geoff Raby collection, TWT Creative Precinct, Shanghai Museum of Modern Art and many others.

The International Artist Residency Program at TWT’s Creative Precinct in St Leonards, provides a unique opportunity for both emerging and established artists to immerse themselves in a new art context, community and culture. Rose is the second artist in the program, following  Peng Yong who’s 3 month residency began in July 2018. This experience enables artists to practice in a global context, build knowledge, networks and partnerships and ultimately, influence their future arts activity.
