‘And in Love, Light and Truth’ Exhibition at Contact Sheet – 9 May – 12 May 2018
‘And on Love, Light and Truth’ an exhibition by Stephanie Rose Wood is an installation of images and sound reinterpreting the space of a Spiritualist Church. The installation curated by Contact Sheet’s Paul McDonald is a study of loss, absence and the need for reassurance that life, as we perceive it is not the sum of our existence.

‘Patterns of Construction’ Exhibition at ME ARTSPACE – 5 May – 25 May 2018
Check out Karen Burgess’ exhibition as part of Head On Photo Festival at me Artspace. Karen’s work depicts beauty found in the chaos of construction sites, from our very own Barangaroo to the Gobi Desert in China.

‘Mexican Fiesta’ Cake Class at Bakedown Cakery – 2 June 2017
TWT Creative Precinct’s Bakedown Cakery is doing its first cake class in their new shop space. Their ‘Mexican Fiesta’ Cake is what will be taught, (with your own personal touch of course) as pictured below!

You will learn to assemble and decorate a 5” four-layer cake together over three hours in our Bakedown ‘Mexican Fiesta’ Cactus cake style.

For toppings we will be working with pre-tempered couverture chocolate to create cactus decorations, as well as learning how to create visual balance with easy to find products like edible flowers, chocolates, macarons and fresh fruits. YUM!

Penny Sasso ‘My Life on a Plate’ at ME ARTSPACE – 25 May – 5 July 2018

Penny was inspired by her clients in her Interior Design business, along with her true love of colours, textures and mediums, it motivated Penny to expand her knowledge into learning ceramic painting, mosaic art, glass art, and more recently polymer clay, encaustic and resin art.

During the last 17 years of developing her craft she has had many of of her clients commission her to create a “special” piece of art to display in the entry, or similar, of their new homes. Penny finds that by dealing directly with a client, she is able to seek out their inner personality and meld it into an art piece that truly expresses who they are. Alternatively, she has a selection of pieces ready to hang or place in your home. Art, in all its shapes and forms, reflects the true individuality of its owner and this is what Penny tries to emulate.
