St Leonards is fast becoming a precinct for artists, performers and creative thinkers thanks largely to the benevolence of property group Auswin TWT, which has provided 4,500 square metres of free space in five buildings it owns in Chandos and Atchison Streets.
An estimated 2,000 people converged on the TWT Creative Precinct over the weekend to enjoy exhibitions, performances, demonstrations and pop-up parties that showcased artists’ work.
Independent art studios, galleries, recording studios, multi-media firms and theatrical groups had opened their premises up to the public which enabled attendees to see behind the scenes of the creative process and meet the artists.
It is the third year that TWT has held the Block Party event, which continues to gain community support.
